A Journey with Makula
At just 7 years old, Ssenabulya Steven walked into Ggaba Demonstration School in 2013, stepping onto the path of learning and new possibilities. From those early days in Primary One, his curiosity and determination began to shine.
As he grew, so did his dreams. With dedication and hard work, Steven progressed to Everlight College for his secondary education. There, he diligently applied himself, determined to excel despite the challenges that came his way.
A Journey Built on Support and Resilience
Throughout his education, the Makula Fund for Children stood firmly by his side. Their consistent support in covering his school fees gave Steven the gift of focus—allowing him to concentrate fully on his studies without fear of being sent home. In November 2024, he proudly completed his Uganda Certificate of Education (S1–S4), a milestone he calls “proof that Makula’s investment in me paid off.”
Today, Steven is living his dream by pursuing a Certificate in Automotive Engineering at Buganda Royal Institute. His face lights up when he talks about engines, systems, and the opportunity to contribute to Uganda’s growing transport and mechanics industry.

Steven deeply thanks the Makula family for being his guiding light and especially honors the memory of Jajja Mama, Mrs. Kazibwe Immaculate Namakula—whose kindness, generosity, and vision opened doors for him and many others.
With perseverance, gratitude, and a clear purpose, Steven stands tall today as a role model for his peers—proof that with support and determination, even the boldest dreams can come to life.
