A Journey with Makula

In 2023, when Isabel was just 5 years old and in the middle class, her life was touched by hope through Dr. Hugo Kamya and the support of Counsel Hilda. They opened the doors for her to join the Makula Fund for Children, ensuring that her education would have a strong and steady foundation.

Isabel is a bright, quick learner who shines in her class. Though she faces a challenge with her eyesight, her determination and love for learning make her stand out among her peers. She is not only academically gifted but also cheerful and full of life. Currently, she is the youngest child in the Makula Fund for Children, a position that makes her even more cherished by the Makula family.

A Family’s Support

Isabel currently lives with her grandmother and her maternal aunt, who lovingly take care of her. Her parents live in Masaka, though separated, and her guardians have stepped in with strength and care. Makula’s support has helped ease the burden, allowing Isabel to enjoy school without the fear of being sent home.

School Life and Dreams

Now in Primary One at Namirembe Parents School, Isabel is blossoming. She treasures her time in school and especially loves staying in the dormitory, where she feels part of a wider family. Her dream is to become a doctor, a reflection of her kind heart and desire to help others.

“I like school so much and being in the dormitory. My grandmother and aunt really appreciate the help of the sponsors. Thank you so much for supporting me. I pray God helps you get more money so that you continue helping me with school fees. I love you.”
