A Journey with Makula
At 19 years old, Peter stands as a powerful example of resilience, maturity and steady personal growth. As a beneficiary of the Makula Fund for Children, Peter is known for his quiet strength, sense of responsibility and determination to build a better future for himself and those around him.
Peter joined the Makula Fund for Children in 2018, at a time when support and guidance were critical to his journey. From the moment he became part of the Makula family, he embraced the opportunity with gratitude and purpose. Over the years, he has demonstrated commitment to self-improvement, discipline and a strong desire to make meaningful progress in his life.
Coming from a humble background, Peter learned early the value of perseverance. Life presented him with challenges that required him to grow up quickly, and those experiences shaped his character. Rather than being discouraged, he chose to remain focused, hopeful and forward-looking. His journey reflects the strength that comes from being supported, believed in and given a chance.
Makula has played a significant role in Peter’s growth by providing not only material support but also mentorship, encouragement and a sense of belonging. Through this support, Peter has been able to stay focused on building a future grounded in dignity, responsibility and service.
“I am grateful to Makula especially Mrs. Maureen O’Shea for standing with me and believing in me,” Peter shares. “The support I have received has helped me stay focused and hopeful about my future together with all my siblings.”
A Heart That Looks Beyond Itself
Beyond his own aspirations, Peter carries a deep appreciation for the impact of Makula in the lives of many children. He hopes to one day give back and support others who, like him, need a helping hand to rise above difficult circumstances. His story reflects a young man who understands that progress is not only personal, but communal.
With resilience, gratitude and a growing sense of purpose, Peter continues to take steady steps toward a brighter future. His journey reminds us that when young people are supported with consistency and care, they grow not only in ability, but also in character and through Makula, that transformation continues.
Congratulations to Ntege Peter, our Child of the Month for November 2025!
