A Journey with Makula

Nabaggala Mary Immaculate is a young woman whose journey reflects resilience, courage and the power of practical opportunity. As a student at a vocational school, Mary has chosen a path that equips her not only with technical skills, but also with confidence, independence and hope for a sustainable future.

Mary joined the Makula Foundation at a time when continuing education was uncertain. Like many young people, she faced challenges that made traditional academic progression difficult. Through Makula’s support, she was able to access vocational training an opportunity that has opened doors to personal growth, self-worth and economic empowerment.

At vocational school, Mary is steadily developing hands-on skills that will enable her to earn a living and contribute meaningfully to her family and community. She approaches her training with seriousness and humility, understanding that skills are not just tools for income, but instruments of dignity and transformation.

I am grateful to Makula for giving me a chance to learn and build a future,” Mary shares. “This opportunity has given me hope and direction.”

Building a Future with Purpose

Mary’s journey reminds us that success is not one-size-fits-all. Through vocational education, she is discovering her strengths, shaping her identity and preparing for a future rooted in self-reliance. She hopes to one day use her skills to support her family and inspire other young people to believe in alternative paths to success.

Makula’s intervention in Mary’s life reflects its commitment to walking with each child according to their unique calling; academic, vocational or creative. By nurturing skills and character, Makula ensures that no child is left behind simply because their path looks different.

With determination, gratitude and a growing sense of purpose, Nabaggala Mary Immaculate is building a future grounded in skill, dignity and hope. Her story is a powerful reminder that when opportunity meets commitment, transformation follows.

Congratulations to Nabaggala Mary Immaculate, our Child of the Month for February 2026!
